Cotton Park is an old sand quarry approx 4 acres and as such is well established with an abundant amount of plant life. The water has weed in places and is very rich in food. The lake depth varies from a few inches to a depth of approximately 11 feet, with an average depth of 6 feet, and apart from the weed is totally snag free. The bottom is firm in most places with a few silt pockets, there are also several sandbars. There is no fishing from the wood side of this lake.
The lake contains a number of Carp to over 35lbs, plus Tench, Perch, Roach, Crucian Carp and a few Bream. The lake has produced a new record mirror of 39lb 6oz in 2018, a magnificent mirror. The Park also produces some fantastic Rudd for those who fish for them.
