This last week has been a very good one in the history of Wheelock AS, we have purchased our first water!
We are very pleased to announce that Wheelock Angling Society now own Plex Flash. The assets secures the future of the club.
The Plex is a stunning water that we have only had on a 12 month lease basis for the last 10 years or so, which has made investing in water management a risky business. Securing the water now allows us to develop a management programme which will see it improve year on year.
There is a lot of hard work ahead but the committee are committed to turning it into a very special water and a great assett for the club.
More details will be given at the agm.
In the meantime, we have now lost the car park and temporary parking will be provided until we create a new permanent one.
Please park sensibly as not to block anyone.
The fishing rules remain the same.

The temporary car park is around the area of the second gate. Its work in progress.

There are lots to do. As stated in the post we have not done more there because of the short term lease that we had for a number of years.
We want to develope a whole plan for the lake and will release further detaills at the agm.

Yes its lovely down there, one of the most important things for us is to keep the natural feel to the lake and surroundings. I was watching the barn owl hunting over the meadow on Saturday night. It was great to watch.
